What is Hijamah Cupping Therapy?

Hijamah Cupping Therapy is a safe, natural, holistic preventative and curative treatment. It can be administered to treat many muscular, skeletal, glandular, hormonal, digestive, respiratory, circulatory, reproductive, lymphatic, immunological, neurological and emotional conditions. It is a very powerful therapy which can have positive effects even after one session.

The extraction of a small amount of toxic blood, acids, fats and debris from the body allows ample movement of healthy, oxygenated blood around the body. Hijamah has the ability to distinguish between healthy blood and toxic blood. Through the Hijamah process, you remove only toxins, acid and any other harmful agents from body and not the healthy blood.

Hijamah works on a cellular level. Blood cells carrying valuable oxygen and nutrients are able to reach all body parts efficiently and nourish all the organs and brain. This is in turn, restores cellular health and strengthens the immune system. It also provides pain relief, promotes healing, balance and vitality. It allows the whole body to function in a healthy manner, as blockages are removed from within the body.

Sunnah Weeks

You can make an appointment at any time, however Sunnah weeks are the best times for Hijaamah. Ask us about these dates.

Why Are Sunnah Weeks the best time?

If we pay attention to the world around us, we can see how the moon, earth, and all its elements play an important role in our body, mind, and mood. You ever feel heavier, run down, agitated, and moody during specific times of the month.

In a hadeeth recorded in Abu Dawood, the Prophet (ﷺ) said ” Whoever is treated with cupping on the seventeenth, nineteenth or twenty first, will be healed from all diseases.”

In reference to the days in the Muslim Lunar Calendar

Ibnul Qayyim (raheemahu Allaah) said, those days are consistent with the middle of the lunar month when the blood is neither raging or stagnant. The blood within our bodies is heavily influenced by the gravitational pull of the moon which increases blood flow.

Ibn Hajar (raheemahu Allaah) mentioned that Al-Muwaffaq al-Baghdaadi said: The body fluids (humours) flow heavily at the beginning of the month and calm down at the end, so the best time to let the blood flow is in the middle of the month.”

There is proof in these reports and it is found by examining the tidal waves pushing water onto the shore due to the heavy gravitational pull of the moon.

Our bodies are similarly affected and that is why, in essence, hijaamah is best performed during these times.
